Abstract: The 2015 China Startup Contest Anhui Conference Finals ended, and Sangel Capital Corp served as core judges in this contest. Thiscontest was lively broadcast by Hefei TV.

The Fourth China Startup Contest was officially launched in May this year, which was supervised by the China Ministry of Education, China Ministry of Finance and China Federation of Industry & Commerce. The contest was a nationwide and nonprofit with the highest standard. The contest in Anhui conference was hosted by Anhui Science and Technology Department. 701 entrepreneur team attendees were from emerging industries including electronic information, new materials, new energy and environmental protection, biomedicine, cultural creation, advanced manufacturing, internet, and mobile internet.

The theme of this contest is “innovation of science and technology vs. success of business". The contest was run based on "governmental guidance, public support, and market operation". The goal of this contest was to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in local society, and build an excellent ecological environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. It also aimed to further improve innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthen the close combination of technology and finance, promote creative culture and create a favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. At the same time, it took advantage of the guiding role of government, utilized social resource, increased investment in small and medium enterprises （SME）, built a fundraising platform for startups, and promoted the innovation and development of SMEs.

On August 20th, the Fourth China Startup Contest Anhui Conference Finals ended in Hefei. Sangle Capital Corp Fangmao Medical Fund, Hefei Innovation Scitec Venture Capital Co.,Ltd , and Anhui Information Venture Capital Co., Ltd., served as the core judges of the final. Sangle Capital Corp was invited to evaluate 2015 Anhui Finals on behalf of its Fangmao Fund.

After three rounds of competitions, 30 companies and eight entrepreneurial teams were selected to the Anhui Finals. Onsite defense in finals facilitated communication between attendees and judges, and provided attendees with opportunities to show their advantages. To ensure the contest run as “open, fair and impartial”, the contest was supervised by Department of Science and Technology, Anhui province. According to scores given by judges and votes given by venture capitals, capital institutes and audience, awards were announced in Anhui final including first, second, third place and outstanding award of enterprises and teams.

The enterprises and teams participating in the contest conducted high level scientific research, Biomedicine and healthcare programs had gained close attention of core judges and public judges. China 1.1 antitumor drug Yew peptide developed by Hefei Anderson Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and waterbased polymer imitation antimicrobial peptide project developed by Qiwei innovative team won first place of enterprises and teams respectively.

The startup contests have been hosted four times so far and exhibited strong compact on society. The serial of contests stimulate the motivation of entrepreneurs, and support the growth of a number of outstanding entrepreneurial projects. They also provide some outstanding projects with fund raising platform and promote the development of SMEs.
